Prayer Patterns from the Bible

The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) gives us a simple pattern: adoration, submission to God's will, requests for provision, confession, and protection from temptation.

The Psalms show us an even wider range — lament, praise, confession, thanksgiving — modeling complete honesty before God rather than only "appropriate" religious language. Praying through a Psalm is one of the simplest ways to find words when you don't have your own.
